The U.S. Department of Labor recently announced a final rule comprehensively changing the Davis-Bacon Act and Related Acts regulations.  The changes to the Acts are effective on October 23, 2023.

This is the first comprehensive regulatory change in nearly 40 years and will affect every contractor performing work in which federal funds are involved.

The changes will impact how a prevailing wage is established from percentage of workers, provide broader authority to state and local governments to adopt prevailing wages and to issue wage determinations for labor classifications, add anti-retaliation provisions, expand U.S. DOL’s enforcement capability, and more.

It is critical that you and your company understand these changes to ensure your company continues to be in strict compliance with the newly revised regulations.

Presenter: Ronald Ciotti, Partner, Hinckley Allen
