This course covers several topics within six class dates to prepare construction supervisors for a variety of issues that may arise on a jobsite involving physical and/or psychological safety.


Participants will discover the skills and information they need to become effective safety leaders who are able to create a strong jobsite safety climate including best practices for deploying toolbox talks

The sequence of topics is dependent upon instructor availability.

  • The Role of OSHA (1 session)
  • Preconstruction Planning (2 sessions)
  • Construction Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention (1 session)
  • Crisis Management: When Disaster Strikes (1 session)
  • Special Topics (1-3 Sessions)
    • Secure Construction (Active Shooter, Drugs in the Workplace and at Home, Reasonable Suspicion) 
    • The Legal Side of 1) Suspicion in the Workplace and 2) Talking about Mental Health and Suicide Prevention at Work

Pricing Per Course:

Fee: $650
ABC Member: $450

This is a required course for the Super Cert program.
