Awards one scholarship per month during the school year to an eligible student.
Cobb Hill Construction
Cobb Hill Construction is proud to offer scholarships to local high school graduating seniors who have demonstrated an interest in any of the following careers: drafting; construction; architecture; or electrical or civil engineering. Qualifying schools are Bow High School, Bishop Brady, Concord High School, Concord Christian Academy and Merrimack Valley High School.
The Hamel Construction Group Scholarship
The Hamel Construction Group Scholarship Fund was established through the generosity of J. Edward Hamel ’61 CEO and founder of the Hamel Construction Group, Elkridge, MD. This fund provides scholarship support to University of New Hampshire undergraduate students enrolled in the Civil Engineering department. The annual award will be split equally, with one-half going to a senior and one-half going to a junior.
New England chapter of American Public Works Association (NEAPWA)
NEAPWA is featuring three scholarship opportunities right now (12/2021).
- Career Advancement Opportunity - promote and improve financial assistance to individuals committed to the Public Works Profession who are seeking opportunities to advance within their department. Awards will be up to $1,000 per State in the New England Chapter (New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island & Connecticut). There is a possibility of all five states obtaining one.
- Tim O'Leary - for students attending an undergraduate degree program, graduate degree program or vocational technical school. $1,250 per semester for a total of $2,500. There are 5 awards to be given out.
- Crombie PWX - This is $2,500 scholarship to attend the National Convention in 2022 in Charlotte North Carolina (1 award per year).
New Hampshire Good Roads
Each year, NHGRA sponsors the William Weaver Memorial Scholarship, awarded to University of New Hampshire students pursuing post secondary education in engineering and leading to a career in a highway related industry.
Plan NH’s Scholarship and Fellowship Program, in partnership with the NH Charitable Foundation, recognizes and honors outstanding students who call New Hampshire home and who are studying a field that supports our mission: to “foster excellence in planning, design and/or development of New Hampshire’s built environment.”
Offering 20 $2,500 scholarships to candidates in the HVAC-R industry or students planning to enter a HVAC-R trade school. Scholarship recipients will also receive other resources, such as tools, a Truewerk workwear system, a year-long Housecall Pro ‘essentials’ subscription and a one-year supply of WD-40 Brand products. American Welding Society (AWS)
More than 130 donor-funded scholarships, totaling over $600,000, are available for students pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree in welding or a related discipline. Scholarships range from $3,000-$6,000+. Applicants are required to submit two references and official transcripts.
Build You Future (BYF)
Scholarships are available for every interest. While a career in construction can be started with little to no debt, BYF has partnered with other organizations to further reduce barriers to training and education. These craft training scholarships are offered at various levels and for different interests.
The National Association of Women in Construction Scholarship
The NAWIC Founders' Scholarship Foundation (NFSF) assists in providing the construction industry with trained employees through higher education. Each year they award over $100,000 to worthy recipients in construction-related programs. Award amounts range from $500 to $2,500. Some local chapters award scholarships as well.
Rock the Trades
This scholarship to assist learners pursuing an Associate's degree or vocational-technical certification in an Energy, Manufacturing, or Construction trade. Four people will be selected to receive a $2,500 award for study at an accredited 2-year college or vocational-technical school.
