Inaugural Safety Symposium on February 10

The ABC NH/VT inaugural Safety Symposium, presented by Milwaukee Tools, will be held Thursday, February 10 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The Safety Symposium will bring together industry professionals and members to discuss the many safety programs ABC NH/VT has to offer its members and other ways to improve safety culture. Our panelists include Rob Bolduc from ABC Self Insured Group, Tim Foley from Milwaukee Tools, Eric Horner of The Rowley Agency, Colin Lane of Metro Walls, LLC, and ABC’s National Director of Workforce Development, Tim Mongeau.

Timothy Mongeau, ABC Director of Workforce Development - Tim supports ABC’s 69-chapter network of more than 800 apprenticeship, craft, safety and Tim Mongeau, ABC Director of Workforce Developmentconstruction management education programs across the country. He has more than 20 years of experience designing and implementing construction education programs at Zachry Industrial and BE&K Construction Co. Previous to his construction career, Mongeau served 11 years active duty and two years in the reserves of the U.S. Navy.

Colin Lane, General Supervisor and Safety Director, Metro Walls – Colin started with Metro as a foreman in 2010, working his way up to be projectColin Lane, MetroWalls manager and into his current role as General Supervisor and Safety Director. Colin is proud to be the mechanism that helps promote a true safety culture within the company. His years of experience in the field and in the office has helped develop and transform one of New England’s largest full-service commercial framing and drywall company serving New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, and Vermont. He has been in commercial construction since 1995, taking a brief break to serve our country with the United States Marine Corps.

 

Eric Horner Vice President & Partner, The Rowley Agency, Inc. – Today Eric is a champion for safety and a leader in his industry. Eric began his insurance Eric Horner, The Rowley Agencycareer in 1988 working for a large, national insurance carrier in New Jersey as a claims adjuster. He then held various claims roles throughout New England on both the carrier and independent adjusting side. In 1995 Eric transitioned to commercial sales joining The Rowley Agency in 1999. A graduate of St. Anselm College with a Bachelor’s degree, he also holds both the Associate in Claims and Certified Insurance Counselor Designations. His claims and investigation background has helped many clients over the years improve their safety culture and reduce claims. Eric specializes in assisting the commercial sector throughout New England for their insurance, risk management and safety needs. In 2015 Eric was promoted to Vice President and Partner.

Rob Bolduc, FutureComp Loss Control Manager – Rob has been in the insurance industry for approximately 18 years, with all of that time spent in the Loss Control & Risk Management fields. Rob has been with FutureComp going on 13 plus years, working with the CBIA Workers’ Comp Program since joining the FutureComp organization. Rob has a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety from Keene State College. Rob’s area of expertise includes machine shop safety and construction. Areas of focus includes, but not limited to; accident investigation, safe lifting & material handling, machine guarding, lock out/tag out, ergonomics, industrial hygiene exposures, slip/fall prevention….etc. Rob is a firm believer in that we cannot tell you what is going to happen in the future, however we can analyze the past and implement controls in an effort to reduce the possibility of similar events from happening again.
