Description:
Operators of powered industrial forklifts and aerial access equipment must be fully trained and employer certified. Employers need an effective and comprehensive training program to meet this OSHA regulation. Participants will complete formal classroom training, practical hands-on training and an evaluation.

This course is designed to meet the training requirements in the OSHA standards for this subject, although site-specific information may be added so that the unique concerns of each jobsite are covered as well. Each attendee will receive a wallet card demonstrating their successful completion.

New ANSI standard became effective March 1, 2020

Everyone associated with aerial work platforms will be impacted by the new standards. Owners, operators, occupants, supervisors, dealers, manufacturers, and people who rent aerials will need to make changes in the areas of training, job site safety, and machine selection to accommodate the new standards. There are 3 new ANSI standards that cover machine design, safe use, and training. Machine Design standards.

This class has been developed to include discussions of the equipment itself, such as system of controls, hydraulics, steering mechanisms, seat fall protection and other safety equipment, as well as the environment in which the equipment may be used. Sample inspection checklists will be used. Participants will operate the equipment demonstrating knowledge and skill.
